
360Fabriek: XR Projects
From April 2022 until the end of 2024, I worked at 360Fabriek as an XR Developer, eventually growing into the Lead XR Developer role. During this period I contributed to a wide range of immersive projects: VR training platforms, AR experiences for F1 grand prix events, procedural configurators built in Unreal Engine 5 and a visionOS game jam on the Apple Vision Pro.
VR Firetruck Training Platform
2022–2024 · Unity · Meta Quest 2
What started as a solo VR training project for fire brigade Twente became a multi-year platform serving multiple regions across the Netherlands. The training simulates realistic firetruck operations in virtual reality, allowing firefighters to practice procedures safely and repeatedly. Following the success of the initial Twente deployment, the project scaled into a multi-firetruck platform with an improved scenario system.
My Contributions

From solo project to regional platform
The Twente training's success directly led to expansion into other fire brigade regions and additional firetruck types. Growing from a single training into a scalable multi-vehicle VR platform.

Aramco F1 Fanzone & Paddock AR Experiences
2022–2023 · Unreal Engine 5 / Unity · Bureau Beatrice
In collaboration with Bureau Beatrice, I built the Aramco F1 Fanzone experience, an interactive installation deployed at Formula 1 grand prix fanzones. Visitors use large touchscreens to configure their own F1 car livery in a photorealistic Unreal Engine 5 environment, then scan a QR code to view and share their creation through a WebAR experience on their phone (built by a colleague using 8th Wall).

The Paddock AR Experience was a companion iPad app that used object-tracking on a physical F1 engine placed at the center of the paddock. Visitors could point their iPad at the engine to unlock an immersive guided tour with minigames, contextual media and technical information about the motor. I contributed to project management and supported development in Unity.

Procedural Dormer Configurator
2023–2024 · Unreal Engine 5 · PerfectDakkapellen
For PerfectDakkapellen, I built a fully procedural dormer configurator in Unreal Engine 5. Both the exterior rooftop dormer and the interior room are generated procedurally based on user configuration. The project grew beyond the initial scope into a complete production tool: a CSV-based workflow handles price calculation and a full save/load system allows configurations to be stored and retrieved. The application is still actively used in their physical showroom.

Apple Vision Pro Game Jam

During an internal game jam at 360Fabriek in January 2024, our team built a procedurally generated action game for the Apple Vision Pro, inspired by Superhot. Players must dodge incoming bullets and destroy enemies that spawn intelligently based on a real-time scan of the physical environment. By mapping the player's surroundings at the start of each session, the game adapts its spawn logic to the actual space, making every playthrough unique.

Procedural Glass & Steel Panel Configurator
2023–2024 · Unity WebGL
During the final phase of my time at 360Fabriek, I programmed a web-based configurator for glass and steel panel systems in Unity WebGL. The tool allows users to design custom panel configurations with precise measurements and automatically generates an invoice based on the configured output. All running directly in the browser with no installation required.

For client PixelThis, I built an immersive 360° video viewer in Unity. Users enter a 3D hub environment from which they can navigate between different video experiences by physically selecting objects in the space, turning passive video consumption into an engaging, spatial experience.

Rheavendors VR Coffee Machine Configurator

Within my first two weeks at 360Fabriek, I delivered a VR coffee machine configurator for Rheavendors, a client that wanted to showcase their machines in an immersive way at trade expos. The experience allows visitors to explore and configure real coffee machine models in virtual reality, with calibration tuned for on-location expo use.
