JouwAIPartner: AI Builder & Developer
Building AI products for small and medium-sized businesses, from mapping a client's process to a working proof of concept. Client work stays private, so this page is about the way of working.

Since July 2026 I work at JouwAIPartner as AI Builder & Developer. JouwAIPartner builds AI solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. I can't show client work here, but I can show how I approach it, because that's where I learned the most this year.
Start with the process
Before anything gets built I map how the work runs today and how it could run. I draw the process as a swimlane in Miro, mark every point where information crosses the boundary of the new system and label each fact as confirmed, an assumption or an open question. Open questions go back to the client instead of being filled in. That is usually where it becomes clear where a system adds value and where it doesn't.
Build in small steps
From there it's lean. A short spec, a glossary in the client's own words and important decisions written down as short records. Then tickets in Jira and a first prototype as soon as possible. I build with agentic coding: several AI agents work on separate tickets in parallel while I review, test and steer. That keeps the loop between an idea and something the client can try short.
AI that holds up
A demo that works once is easy. What I focus on is AI that keeps working when real data comes in.
- Context engineering: giving an agent exactly the information it needs and nothing more
- AI agents that propose, people who decide
- Evals against a set of known good answers, run again after every change
- Observability, so it's clear what a model did and why
- Safe and scalable by default: data hosted in the EU, access rules in the database and secrets kept out of the code
So far
Three AI proofs of concept for different use cases, plus research and development on our own AI SaaS product for small and medium-sized businesses. Every project starts the same way: understand the process first, then build.
Tools I use
Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase / Postgres, MCP, LLM evals, Jira, Miro
